Maite Farreres is a multidisciplinary artist who combines painting with music and the financial world. She has combined the Higher Degree Artistic Illustration studies at the Pau Gargallo School of Arts and the Lleida School of Fine Arts with the studies of Management and Public Administration, Master in Economic and Financial Management, Master in Digital Marketing and Executive MBA.
She develops her work using various techniques such as Chinese ink, watercolor and acrylic. She also creates illustrations, urban sketches and drawings.
Her work is the perfect combination of an innate talent, a solid academic background and an incessant inspiration, with the restlessness to experience new frontiers in her works in which she focuses on watercolor with Chinese ink. Her technique, at first sight carefree and spontaneous, is the result of an extraordinary skill with the brush, since, in most of her works, it allows her to draw the sketch directly in Indian ink, without prior preparation. That’s why his creations are essentially fresh. Her inspiration has evolved from the urban landscape, with special emphasis on architectural design, to the generation of environments where the protagonists are shared with the everyday setting of streets, squares or cafes; environments that he frequents in her travels and that he transfers to his works.
Maite Farreres has exhibited her work in France, Luxembourg, Canada, the USA and Spain in exhibitions and art fairs.
