“Koyama’s Cadaqués” arrives at the Rusiñol Gallery. This artist is 77 years old and he considers that he is living his key time, as we can see in the works —oils on canvas and mixed techniques— of this exhibition.
Shigeyoshi Koyama offers us a special vision of Cadaqués: without perspectives, without lights or shadows. His palette of gray colors, next to the painting with Chinese ink, contrasts with the blue and orange characteristic of the Mediterranean light. Koyama’s style is “essentialist”: it seeks and finds the transcendent truths hidden behind the forms of reality.
The inauguration, to which you are invited, will be this FRIDAY 6th of October at 7:30 p.m. The critical comment will be in charge of Josep Mª Cadena.
